i'm sure you're all aware by now of google's brilliant pacman stunt.
buuut did you know there is now a permanent pacman url?! (thanks bauldoff)

& thanks to my friend andrew, i now know that if you click the 'insert coin' button a second time, ms. pacman will appear & you can play two player! incredible.

startling discoveries

betty as a youngster

startling discovery number one...
a tumor nearly the size of a ping pong ball sprang up over-night on my beloved rat, betty. yikes.
thankfully, she had surgery yesterday to have it removed & is doing remarkably well. she very much hates it when i try to give her medicine but otherwise she's mostly back to normal (other than the huge bald spot on her tummy & the two long, stitched-up incisions, that is). i don't want to post photos here because they're a little graphic but if you're interested you can see some here.

despite my attempt to get back on my blogger's feet, it's been a looong time since my last post & as a result the lbeau room has dropped to 20-some-odd followers on google reader. i feel i have some pretty valid reasons for that though, so i hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me & maybe help wrangle a few follwers. i'm back now for sure. promise. : )
